Bookin' It
When Nancy and I were little (for those who don't know, Nancy is my OLDER (hahahaha) cousin, 3 years to be exact, that grew up next door to me and has always been more sister than cousin. She and I are bound together in our Gemini souls, as well as in our childhoods. We were pretty poor growing up and had a grandma who knew a whole helluva lot poorer than we could imagine -- having raised 4 children through The Great Depression. Nancy and I had a habit of getting the Sears Wishbook and going over and over it -- the girls clothes and pj's and undies and all the TOYS -- "I want that! I NEED that!! OOOOH! LOOK at that THAT!" Grammy would always yell when she saw us, "Anna Mae! Mary! They're BOOKIN' it again!" Can't beat out what's bred in, so, here are my girls tonight, bookin' it.
