There are a number of "oldies but goodies" -- stories and pictures that happened before I started the blog so I'll try to catch it up. This is from June 6.
Last night we were in the hot tub and Alex was dancing, ballet style. Very well
in fact. Then she stopped.
M: Why don't you dance some more Alex?
A: I can't.
M: Why not?
A: There are no stars. I can't dance unless there are stars. [now mind you,
there were no stars when she was dancing earlier]
M: There are stars, you just can't see them until it gets a little darker.
A: No. There are no stars.
M: Okay, whatever. Look at the moon! See the moon? It's beautiful. You can
dance by the light of the moon. [don't know if you saw the moon last night but
it was a really bright tiny sliver of a moon, on the bottom edge -- beautiful;
it was dusky at this time and you could see the "dark side" of the moon too;
Alex looked up at it.]
A: Look Mom! The batteries are dead! I can't dance. The batteries are dead.
