This is the story of our adventures -- every day and extraordinary; our dreams -- tiny and grand; our gardens -- ornamental and sustaining; this is the story of our journey.  We are a family of four living a mindful, simple life here in Los Angeles County.  We are green, conscious, and forward thinking.  We keep an eye on the past because some of the best things have already been done and bear repeating.  Walk and talk with us, have a glass of wine, taste a peach or a tomato, blow some bubbles and watch them drift up over the canyon ridge.  Enjoy!

A nice evening with a good friend

Last night my dear friend and ex-coworker Ted came over after work. Ted is my buddy, for those who don't know, whom I met in Pavones, Costa Rica who traveled back to the US with my other buddy Ben and me. He even road in the semi with the guy who brought the sick Subie over the border. He is a great pal. A year and half or so ago he came to work on my team at the now defunct Countrywide. He found a new job before the lay offs hit him -- with the House of Blues at Live Nation. He's still working too long of hours so by the time he got here we'd already eaten but we saved him a plate. We had grapefruit and sage roasted chicken with fingerling potatoes.

After dinner we went in the hot tub and then did "fireworks" -- snakes and poppers:

Then we made ice cream:

And hung out on the deck.
