It's dang hot here today and I guess that just took it out of them all! The girls went down for a late nap while Gregg was browning the pork chops. He put them on to braise and then laid down himself, muttering something about a bike ride or going to the market for chicken breasts.
I know, I know, we're having the braised pork chops AGAIN!! We've been in a rut with the citrus glazed chicken, braised pork chops, grilled lamb chops... BUT, tomorrow Gregg has planned an heirloom tomato and chicken chili! Yum yum. And Monday I am going to make stuffed red peppers. I'll need to call my mom for her recipe. Though, no offense Mom, I really wish I could find Mrs. Augoustiniatos's recipe for yemista! Um, um. Man, that woman was a fine cook. I could have married Evan just to eat her pot roast and stuffed vegetables! hahahaha Alas, no, I couldn't.
Hmm, wonder if I can find a yemista recipe on line??? I don't even know how to spell that in English, only in Greek. I've transliterated it as best I could...

This looks perfect. I'm going to skip the potato but I need an eggplant. Dang! Hmm, and long grain rice.... wonder if jasmine would work as well...
Don't you just love the internet!?!? It sounds very yummy. We do a recipe similar, but it is stuffed with an italian meatloaf.
